Sahil - Action Aid  “Youth Club-HIV&AIDS Information and Counseling Centre Project” (SYBAN)

Sahil with SHEED and AAS is a part of joint project funded by Action Aid since January 2009. The main objectives of the project are to promote HIV&AIDS/STIs information and prevention, provide counseling and support services to emotionally vulnerable young people. A centre SYBAN has been established in Red Light area Taxali Gate Lahore.

As per TORs following are the achievements of Sahil; a psychologist was appointed. Psychologist provided training to peer educators on hygiene, TB, Hepatitis A,B,C and E and diabetes.

A total of 6 counseling sessions conducted for street youth. Peer educators conducted 9 corner meetings at centre and in community. Project brochure, letter head, cards and writing pad was designed and printed.

One day training session was conducted with 44 street youth on HIV&AIDS.
