In this era of globalization, the role and importance of media has increased
manifolds in bringing the issue of human rights and child protection into the
limelight. To encourage the media personals to handle the issue of child sexual
abuse in a more meaningful way, Sahil started to appreciate the contribution of
newspaper because of standard and sensitive reporting on the child protection
issues.
Sahil is also awarding its
volunteers for their contribution towards the cause; the cadre of volunteers is
a proof of people’s commitment for the issue and the credibility of the
organization.
In this regard, Sahil conducted its 6th ceremony of Child Friendly
Newspaper Award 2010 and Best Volunteer award 2010 in Marriott Islamabad
on 29th March 2011.
Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Advisor to
Prime Minister of Pakistan was the chief guest of the ceremony. Guest of
honor of the ceremony was Ambassador Mr. Robert Kvile, The Royal
Norwegian Embassy.

2010.

selected to acknowledge their efforts towards the goal of Sahil. The

Chinh Pakistan
Awards were presented to the student teams from three schools who
developed two short documentaries for Chinh Pakistan. The winning
movie was 'The Race Against Poverty' and the runner up movie was ‘Witnessing
Bullying’.
Ambassador Mr. Robert Kvile, The Royal
Norwegian Embassy, distributed the awards among the students.


White Rice Communications
received an Award of Appreciation for their technical support for developing
CHINH Movies.

“Ten
Years Service Award” was presented to
Sahil’s staff members, Ms. Irshaad Bibi and Mr. Iftikhar Kiani, to
appreciate their contributions for Sahil to achieve it’s vision and mission

Souvenirs were presented to
Ms. Shahnaz Wazir Ali, Advisor to
Prime Minister of Pakistan and Ambassador of The Royal Norwegian Embassy
