Meditation

 Meditation simply means quieting your mind. The first major effect of meditation is strengthening the personality structure which comes from working consistently at it.

 The benefits of meditation include:

  • Personality strengthening.

  • Increased ability to relate to and cope with the world.

  • Ability to accept and express feelings.

  • Development of an optimistic outlook.

  • Improved concentration.

It is to concentrate and seriously reflect. Meditation can be used all the time in helping to concentrate on any task. The myth is that meditation is a specific act. In order to meditate a person does not have to sit facing east, or repeat certain mantras or even burning scented candles at a particular time with a particular gesture.

In fact meditation helps us to heal from within and brings inner peace and satisfaction. It is an effort to heal afflictions of the mind, the hurt ego, by trying to understand the cause of the problem and finding a way to solve it, that is, by knowing what counter-measures to take. To meditate thus, is to deepen a state of understanding.
