New Radio Documentary
"Counseling for Child Sexual Abuse"
Sahil under its
“Awareness Raising
Campaign on Child
Protection and
CSA” recently
planned to produce
a radio
documentary on
“Counseling for
Child Sexual
Abuse”. With
Sahil’s Programme
Manager’s
expertise of Radio
Journalism, a
concept was
developed with the
psychologists of Jeet Healing
Centre for
producing an in
house radio
documentary.
It may
be noted here that the
concept, script,
recording, editing,
mixing, presentation
and music was complied
by this creative team.
The documentary
focuses on the
psychological damages
caused to child
victims and survivors
of CSA and the
importance of
Counseling for dealing
with the trauma.
The
documentary is of
6-minute duration and
has been disseminated
to different radio
stations in the
country for
broadcasting.
It has
been broadcasted from
Power 99 Radio
Station, Islamabad and
Rawalpindi on Jan 22,
2007.
As a part of Public
Service Broadcasting,
following radio
stations have agreed
to broadcast the
awareness raising
documentary without
any airtime costs.
