The Training Department scheduled and executed the primary school trainings with Sahil’s signature tool “Meri Hifazat” in Balochistan province in collaboration with the Referral Unit Jafferabad.

The Trainings were held at schools in Dera Alla Yar, Rojhan Jamali, Sohbat Pur, Usta Mohammad and Manjhi Pur in April 2007.

Government Support for Advocating the Message of Child Protection

Education Departments of Balochistan contributed immensely to the organization and scheduling of the trainings at Jafferabad by ensuring full participation of teachers.

Active support of the Local Government and Education Department officials ensured the success of the trainings in areas out of Jafferabad.

Communities Speak Out

Participants in Balochistan were found to be very enthusiastically responsive to the rights based approach delivery of trainings.  

Participants in Balochistan, despite belonging to varied tribal segments, stressed on child development needs and imparting protection education for decreasing children’s vulnerability to sexual violence.

The participants were in favour of bringing awareness to the traditional and tribal groups on the need for protection of children against CSA.
