Role of Sahil Volunteers
Sahil Volunteer…
- will work of
their own free will
- will
specially focus on the protection (betterment) of children
- will
spearhead Sahil’s goals and objectives
- can create
awareness about the role of Sahil amongst the people in their
areas
- should
coordinate with other people who are working for the protection
of children
- should
inform Sahil Head Office about CSA cases that are taking place
in their areas
- can
participate in Training Programs that are conducted in their
areas by Sahil
- can
distribute Sahil’s CSA awareness literature in their areas
- may follow
up cases of CSA that are reported in the papers in their areas
and inform Sahil Head Office about them
- will
cooperate with other volunteers
Membership Rules

Sahil Head Office reserves
the right to give memberships to volunteers

The minimum age for
becoming a member is 18 years
-
Volunteers must have a
valid National Identification Card issued by NADRA
-
Volunteers will submit a
copy of their National Identification Card and two passport size
pictures along with Sahil Volunteers Membership application form
-
Same residential address
holder should be from different professions. Same address with non
profession people is not allowed for membership
-
The period of Membership
shall be for One Year
-
Volunteers must apply for
renewal of their membership One Month prior to the expiry of their
membership
-
Membership shall be
renewed based on the past performance of members
-
Volunteers shall work
independently and will not associate Sahil with any political or
religious group or party
-
Volunteers shall not
participate in any illegal activities
-
Volunteers cannot use the
Sahil Membership Card for their personal gains
In case a volunteer violates the Sahil
Volunteer Membership rules, Sahil reserves the right to cancel a
volunteer’s membership.
Sahil will not be responsible for any
personal action of a volunteer
Sahil Code of Ethics for

Sahil has zero tolerance policy for involvement in any kind of
pornographic activities

The volunteer should respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence
all information obtained in the course of volunteer services

No child should be employed for labor by a volunteer

The volunteer should not practice any form of discrimination on the basis
of:

Race, color, sex, age, religion
-
National origin, marital status, political belief
-
Mental or Physical Handicap
-
or any other personal preference
-
Volunteers will always remain calm and soft spoken
-
Volunteers will only use the Sahil membership card for Sahil’s work
-
Shall work with complete honesty and integrity
-
Volunteers will take every precaution to ensure their own safety
-
As Sahil is a signatory of the AASHA code of conduct. Volunteers must not
be involved in any kind of verbal, physical or emotional sexual harassment
